Rachael and Tyler Maternity Session, Layton Utah

I always love when I get to shoot maternity sessions so I was glad when my good friend Rachael asked me to photograph hers. I loved the lone tree in the open field that we used for the first location, it was so dreamy and romantic and the weather was perfect for our session. After shooting at the tree, we all headed to main street in Layton to shoot the white brick wall and ended up in West Layton Utah for some yummy light at the abandoned house. Here were some of my favorites from the session.

Shanda and Randy Maternity Session . Willard, Utah

My very dear friends Shanda and Randy are due to have a baby very soon Little baby Taxton will be coming soon, so Shanda called me up to shoot a maternity session of her with her husband Randy, so today we headed up to Willard, Utah and got some awesome photographs. These two are always so easy to photograph and today was no exception. I’m so excited for these two, it seems like just yesterday that my sweet little Kyleigh was born, now here she is 8 years old and in 3rd grade, it’s insane to me. Anyways, congrats Shanda and Randy I can’t wait to meet little Taxton

Announcing Mini Sessions :)

For the first time ever I will be doing a mini session for anything you could want pictures of. Come get an updated family picture, senior picture, modeling head shots, engagements, etc. That’s right, for $50 you get a mini 30 minute photo session and 5 edited hi res files on disc with print release. I will be doing two days of mini sessions, the first day October 1st and 2nd 2010 at the Layton Commons Park from 2:00 until 6:00 PM. Please call or email to schedule your session. I will be doing a future mini session day in SLC so stay tuned for that date. All sessions will also include convenient online proofing for family and friends to see. Megan and Josh Maternity Session – Utah Maternity Photographer

So last Saturday I had spent some time with Megan and her husband Josh shooting some maternity photography. Megan is the owner of Pink Piggy Designs and heads up the Utah Bride Blog with the wedding industry’s best florist Audrey of Studio Stems. We shot around the Layton area and Megan wanted the session to have a vintage style. I had just purchased the tandem bike off KSL the day prior so of course I busted it out for the session. As a photographer friend of Megan, I was a little nervous because I wanted the photographs to be perfect, but how could I go wrong with such gorgeous models I had a really hard time narrowing it down so there are tons of favorites.

I was honored when I got the call from the very talented photographer Lindsay Jane asking me if I could take some maternity photos of her with Todd. When we were discussing possible dates for the shoot, I had to laugh a little when she said that she wanted to wait until she got a little bit bigger, lol. Most of the time when people think about getting their picture taken, they want to wait until they lose weight, so I laughed because that is the first time I had heard a woman say she wanted to wait til she was bigger. Look how smoking hot these guys looked. I am so excited for these guys to have a baby and know that they will make the most awesome parents. I have to admit I was a little nervous shooting for another photographer, but the shoot went perfect and I had so many good shots it was hard to narrow it down.
