So I normally try to blog in chronological order and I still have so many past shoots and weddings to share with you guys, but I was a little bit too excited to wait any longer to show you this session I shot. Meet my new intern Stephanie of Stephanie Patterson Photography who came down from Idaho to intern with me for the summer. I have always loved and been a huge fan of Alta Moda Bridal which is the absolute best place in Salt Lake City Utah to buy designer wedding gowns and dresses like Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Augusta Jones, Anne Barge, and many many more. Hilary and Justin (the owners) are some of the coolest people I know and the service they provide to brides is next to none. If you want to be treated like a princess and have the best experience ever, head down and pay them a visit.
Anyways, I have been wanting to shoot one of their dresses for a long time so I could donate a huge canvas print to hang on the walls, so we set up this amazing bridal session and Stephanie was kind enough to model for it. We even got Flavia and Rachel of Versa Artistry to come down for some hair and makeup, and man did they totally do a killer job. Stephanie looked absolutely breath taking in the Monique Lhuillier wedding dress. It’s pretty much the dream of every Utah Wedding Photographer for their brides to wear a dress from Alta Moda Bridal and this dress was no exception. I was joined on this session by some of my good photographer friends Samantha of Samantha Jane Images, Andrea of Andrea Hanks Photography, and Blake of Photo54.com and we had a hoot hollering good time.
I would love to hear your opinions in the comment field about which shot is your favorite as I think we will all have a hard time narrowing it down to one 30×40 canvas print. Maybe your votes will sway us one way or the other![]()
This first shot is a before and after of the hair and make up that Versa Artistry masterfully completed
followed by the Versa team working their magic. Don’t forget to comment![]()

Ashley - my favorites are the bw one on the left (I think the sixth one down, where she’s holding her dress up a little and is looking at you, head on) and the ones where you’re directly above her, horizontal shots. Great job!
Kayleen T. - Beautiful! So hard to choose just one, but I like the one looking down at her, then the one standing in the doorway at the top of the stairs and then the ones of her laughing and running on the sidewalk.
Jami - Beautiful bride, beautiful dress, and of course outstanding, jaw on the floor, amazing photos! Love the running down the street pics, great job!
crave Photography - Clearly impossible to decide. Good luck with that one!! I really love the one with all of the light coming in through the doorway!! Wow! They are all exceptional! May have to go to this spot sometime
Really exceptional work!
Britney Barker - No kidding you had a hard time choosing huh?
They are all beautiful. If I had to choose I like the 3rd on on the vine wall and the black and white just below it. I also like the laughing black and white where she is running~
Sunset S. - WOW! These are amazing Dustin. And what a natural beauty she is! I like the ones by the stop sign and the bottom left one. Good job!
Claire - OMG! I’m in love with this dress! It’s absolutely gorgeous! I think my favorite shot is the black and white one of the bride standing inside the brick door frame. Love it!
carly - oh
my
gorgeous.
DUSTIN!!!!!! these are awesome!
Kecia - Those are stunning Dustin! I think my favorite is the bird’s eye view when she is looking towards shoulder and down. Just stunning. A close second would be the bw standing in the doorframe.
Mickelle - Amazing, beautiful girl and the dress is a dream. Love your work!
Amy Jo - My favorites are the two with the stop sign in the background. These pictures are stunning! =)

Samantha Jane - Stunning!
Jayme - I think for sure you need to use one of those two that you first posted on FB as a teaser. With the stop sign in the background… they are very worthy of 30×40 size. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress and model… wish I was able to come. Great job, Dustin!
Carli - My favorite is either the 9th picture down, on the right. Or….the 14th down. Sooo pretty.
Becky - Love her red hair with the green ivy. So cool!
Brandi - Wow, these are stunningly gorgeous.. she is amazing.. Has a real silver screen siren look about her.
Shannon - These are all simply FABULOUS!!! I love the one where she’s in the doorway of the garage, or something, in b&w. WOW! How do you choose though?! These are all STUNNING!!!! You’re A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!
Rachael - That dress freakin ROCKS!! Great job
Callie - I will say that my favorites are either the ones in front of the stops signs….or the ones directly after that, that were shot from up high (preferably the second one of those). I do love them all though.
Erin W. Anderson - Third from the top – left-hand side. LOVE! Fabulous – all of them!
nicole - those are some killer eyes!…and photos…love em!
Jessica - I love the 5th photo set down, the one on the left, with her smiling!!!! I love it
Haylee Bean - Dustin! I love them all but my faves are the ones on the sidewalk in B&W with the stop sign on the left and the ivy wall on the right. She’s holding her dress up and laughing in one of them. I wonder if I’d like them better in color though? Just say’n but then again I’m kinda a color girl
What a fun shoot!…. I love so many of them. Good luck narrowing it down!
Tessa @ Utah Bride and Groom - Gorgeous Dustin!!
kristen duke - I love the shot from above looking down–stunning. also love the stop sign in the background with her serious face and standing in front of the window–arms up.
tiffany smith - these are beautiful!!! love them!!
Sherry - I’m her mother and I think they are all breath taking. I’m glad I don’t have to choose which one is best!
