Liz and Cal Wedding . Salt Lake City Utah LDS Temple Photography

Liz and Cal got married this month in the Salt Lake City Utah Mormon Temple and what a gorgeous day it was for photography. My bestest buddy Amanda of Amanda Abel Photography came along to second shoot, so I owe her a big thanks Liz was a bridesmaid in Alyssa and Mike’s wedding, so it was nice to see Alyssa and Mike again Liz’s dress was absolutely stunning and had an awesome vintage yet modern look to it. She ordered it from the UK and flew it over to the United States. It was nice to finally meet both of their families. After getting all the shots we wanted at the temple and around town, we headed to the reception in Layton at The Castle. It was absolutely gorgeous and they hired a string quartet to play during the ceremony and reception. I love live music. Kat and Tyler were married on 10.10.2009 and since Tiffany and I had our very first date on 10.10.1998 we spent it together shooting for these adorable newlyweds The ceremony took place at the Salt Lake City Temple and then we headed over to the reception held at Cucina Nassi. The details were amazing and I always LOVE when there is a balcony for dancing shots I had a very hard time narrowing it down, so be prepared for image overload

Meet Richelle and Bryan. These guys met while studying abroad in Israel If you look at the third outfit with the funky cool dress she was wearing, she got the dress in Jerusalem when they met These two had natural chemistry going on that would make Bill Nye the Science Guy proud Richelle loves how Bryan always knows how to cheer her up and how he is sensitive in a manly way How awesome is it that they have already seen the Dome of the Rock and the Pyramids together? Not only that, but they were both from Utah and met in Jerusalem all the way around the globe. Now that’s meant to be. I had a hard time narrowing it down, so enjoy

Hailey and Nic Groomals – Utah Wedding Photographer

Photo Tip Friday – Layer Masking

A quick tutorial on the use of Layer Masking in Photoshop and how to selectively apply effects to certain areas of the photo without affecting the whole photo. A simple yet powerful tool in the post process.

This is very useful when applying textures or adjusting certain colors to the photo without affecting skin tones. One thing I love about layer masking is it’s so easy to fix things if you make a mistake by simply switching your brush color and just painting over the area that needs fixing. you will see what I mean in the video.
